Celebration Performances Given in DPRK

The participants in the ９th April Spring People’s Art Festival have given performances every day.

The East Pyongyang Grand Theatre, the Pyongyang Grand Theatre, the Central Youth Hall and other venues of performances were replete with the strong aspiration and desire of the people to glorify the April spring holiday forever along with the brilliant history of prosperity of their great country.

Pak Thae Song and Choe Ryong Hae, members of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, and other senior Party and government officials enjoyed the performances together with Pyongyang citizens on April １６.

Put on the stages of performances were monumental famous songs highly praising the spring holiday of Korea with loyalty of the people from year to year.

The performers well represented the deep emotion of people greeting the significant spring holiday in such numbers as song and dance "People Sing of April Holiday", narration and chorus "Our Yearning for the Leader" and "Mine Is Always the Country of Kim Il Sung".

Watching the performances, the audience recollected with deep emotion the sacred revolutionary career and exploits of President Kim Il Sung, the peerless patriot and great sage who led the Korean revolution to victory under the banner of independence and thus laid a solid foundation for the eternal prosperity of the genuine people’s country, the invincible socialist state.

The audience was very excited to hear such songs as "Dear Father" and "We Follow His Tender Heart" reflecting the ardent reverence for the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un ushering in a new era of a prosperous power, in which all the dreams and ideals of the people are translated into reality, with his outstanding idea and seasoned leadership

The audience was also deeply moved by the numbers that redouble enthusiasm for the revolution and struggle of all the people across the country.

Such numbers as male chorus "See the 'Golden' Trees on the Hillsides, Rows of Apple Trees" and a national instrumental ensemble "My Prospering Country" well represented the people’s pride of steadily creating and enjoying a new life and new civilization of socialism along with the appearance of entities of happiness in all parts of the country in the era of transformation when both capital and regional areas are changing and prospering.

The performances were acclaimed by the audience.
