His Attentive Care for Scientists

On Day of Visiting a Research Institute

The following happened when the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un inspected the then Central Mushroom Institute of the State Academy of Sciences nearing its completion.

That day, he made the rounds of different parts of the institute including its main building, accessory building and even the last room of the mushroom cultivation experiment hall which was in a mess because of arranging facilities and fixtures in it.

He, coming out of the experiment hall after his inspection, said that he was right to inspect there, and it would take at least ten days to complete it.

Accompanying officials couldn’t understand why the General Secretary instructed them to delay its inauguration.

That day, he said he was informed that they, in terms of already-begun project for paving the premises, planned to complete the paving before the day was out to ensure the inauguration the next day, adding that the inauguration was not so pressed for time.

And he instructed to get through with the arrangement of the institute within ten days, and after that, they should perform the inaugural ceremony.

Then he stressed that they should make over the institute to the researchers after it was completed perfectly even in cleaning.

So, the inauguration of the Central Mushroom Institute of the State Academy of Sciences was delayed, and this story tells his loving care for our scientists and researchers.

Gifts He Brought with Him

One October day in 2014, the respected General Secretary visited the newly-built Wisong Scientists Residential District.

When he called on a family, he, sitting on a sofa in a living room, said that he brought a LCD TV, quilts and household utensils with him.

Accompanying officials were impressed with the loving care of the General Secretary who provided the scientists with modern houses and again bestowed favors on them.

He, looking round the officials, said with a broad smile on his face that the housewives would prefer sets of vessels.

Seeing the TV console, he instructed to install in the living room the TV he brought.

After the installation of the TV, he proudly said that it was home-produced "Arirang"-trademarked TV, and it would be more significant to give our scientists the home-produced TV than foreign-made TV.

Then the respected General Secretary, letting the officials bring in quilts, requested the leading official of the State Academy of Sciences to convey them to the owners of the house.

The officials were so moved with the loving care of the respected General Secretary who brought with him gifts for the scientists.
