Purpose and Character of Our Construction Struggle

The purpose and character of the construction struggle are run through with the people-first principle in our society where the people are the masters of everything and everything serves them.

Our construction struggle is to continuously promote the people’s wellbeing.

Construction is the important work directly related to improving the people’s standard of living.

All the work to improve the material and cultural living standard of the people and provide them with happiness are unthinkable without construction.

The historic cause for the people’s well-being begins with construction, moves ahead with construction and comes to accomplishment with successful construction.

In our country, construction of public buildings, industrial establishments, facilities and all others is to provide the people with better working conditions and living environment and satisfy their demands for varied cultural and emotional lives and the principle of giving priority to convenience is one of the important principles to be thoroughly maintained in the construction.

The construction struggle by our Party and state is by no means to gain economic profits. It is an ennobling undertaking to turn the assets of the state and fruits of creative labour of the working masses thoroughly into their benefits. Now construction has become a major realm of our struggle, and it is expanding its position at the centre of the times.

Therefore, our architecture is, in essence, the people-first architecture and our designers are "political artists" who reflect the ideas and policies in the design.

Today our Party and government appropriate a large share of the state budget for the implementation of the new policy for regional development and the major construction projects including the construction of dwelling houses in the capital city and rural areas and take substantial measures in order to continuously improve the people’s living standard.

The construction of ５０, ０００ flats in the capital city, dwelling houses in rural areas, modern regional industry factories, the three essential projects, the largest-ever greenhouse farm and the vegetable science research center and the offshore farm is the gigantic creation campaign which can be done only by our Part and state regarding the people-first principle as the main political ideal.

Our construction struggle is the demonstration of our country which is vigorously advancing to attain the goal of a powerful country.

Construction exerts, as an ensemble of the national strength, a leading, powerful influence on the efforts to transform the economy, science, technology, culture and all other fields.

Construction is a visual sign of our national power and level of national strength and a powerful means making people feel the inexhaustible potentiality of the development of the state.

All the buildings in our country are monumental edifices showing the dignity and spirit of the great powerful country.

Monumental edifices erecting in all parts of the country and our people’s absolute trust in the Party and the state serve as the strongest might accelerating our vigorous advance toward comprehensive development of socialism.
