What He Paid Attention to in Decorating Buildings
In mid August, 2013, the respected General Secretary
When he acquainted himself with the process of building operation of Masikryong Hotel, accompanying officials informed him of the project plan to decorate some parts of exterior and interior of the hotel with log-panel ornaments.
But the General Secretary shook his head doubtfully.
The officials who expected his consent were puzzled, because he had already instructed to decorate the interior and exterior of buildings with log-panel ornaments in conformity with the characteristics of mountainy region.
After a while, he pointed out their defects, saying he found that the outer walls of some buildings were plastered with cement to have the semblance of piled logs when coming into the construction zone of the ski resort; he continued that visitors would readily perceive it was just an imitation when seeing at close range, though the walls seemed to be decorated with real logs in a distant view.
And he added that, in a word, it would look like a "100m beauty." (this means that it looks good from afar but ugly from nearby-Tr.)
An amused smile passed over everyone’s face.
Then he specified the ways to remedy them, instructing that to decorate the walls with log-panel ornaments, they should be done with real logs, and it would be matched well with the landscape of the ski resort located in a mountainy region.
"100m beauty, " this shows his ennobling intention that any slight defects should never be allowed in the work for people.
His instructions impressed the officials with his noble intention to provide our people with the best and the most perfect things in the world.
After his inspection, the interior and exterior of the buildings were decorated with real logs.
