News of 14th National People’s Sports Contest

Several events of the professional sports sector for the １４th National People’s Sports Contest took place at the Handball Gymnasium, the Taekwon-Do Hall, etc. in Chongchun Street of Pyongyang, the capital city of the DPRK.

The Amnokgang Sports Team (men) and the Sobaeksu Team (women) took the first place in the handball event and the Pyongyang Kim Jong Suk Textile Mill sports team in the women’s field hockey event.

The Teqball games were held, divided into men’s and women’s singles and doubles, mixed doubles and team event. In the games, the Pyongyang Sports Team and the Kim Jong Thae Electric Locomotive Complex sports team took the top standings.

The Pyongyang Municipal Taekwon-Do Team and the Paduk team of the Pyongyang Municipal Paduk Centre took the first place in the Taekwon-Do event and the Paduk event respectively and the Paduk team of the North Hwanghae Provincial Paduk Centre came first in total in the Korean chess event.
