Young People Petition to Join Korean People’s Army
A lot of young people in our country volunteer to enroll in the Korean People’s Army with the pledge to firmly defend the motherland with arms of the revolution.
On Feb. ２６, graduate students of the senior middle schools in Pyongyang petitioned to go to the forefront posts of the country. Following in their steps, graduate students of senior middle schools in South Hamgyong, Kangwon and Ryanggang provinces and all other parts of the country volunteered to enlist in the Korean People’s Army (KPA).
On March ２５, １１０ graduate students of Pyongyang Middle School for Orphans pledged to take arms of defenders.
According to an official of the Central Committee of the Socialist Patriotic Youth League, more than ３２０ classes across the country massively petitioned to go to the forefront posts of the country.
Recollecting the past days of the revolution, our young people’s first preference was always to defend the motherland. It is because to defend motherland is the supreme expression of their patriotism and the most priceless glory of youth.
This significant year witnesses the enthusiasm of the rising generation for petitioning to join the KPA raises higher.

Our young people will firmly defend the socialist homeland despite the evermore undisguised moves of the enemies for aggression, keeping in mind that to defend motherland as the supreme expression of their patriotism and the greatest pride and worth. And they will strive for a fresh victory of our revolution and the rosy future of our great state.
