Landscape Painting Tells His Ennobling Intention

One March day in ２０１９, the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un summoned senior officials of the Party and the state to a significant function venue. Among them is an official in charge of the work of agricultural sector of the country.

Amid the function the General Secretary called the official close to him to give important instructions for solving the problems arising in agriculture and people’s food life.

The official was deeply moved by the General Secretary putting his heart and soul into the work for development of agriculture.

Suddenly, the General Secretary pointed to a large landscape depicting golden fields on the back wall.

He kindly asked the official what it reminded of.

The official thought that the General Secretary paid deeper attention to the landscape of golden fields than those depicting beautiful sceneries of the country because he wished to realize our people’s centuries-old desire at an early date as President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il wanted.

The official recollected what happened １０-odd days before.

That day the official in his office room unexpectedly received a phone call from the General Secretary.

Accepting the official’s polite greetings, the General Secretary summoned him to an indoor stadium in which a volleyball game between important units was held.

During the volleyball game, the General Secretary called the official close to him to discuss the problems of agriculture.

The General Secretary said that the agricultural front is now a major thrust area in building the country into a socialist economic giant, an outpost in the battle for defending socialism and the very important front encouraging our revolution. Our officials should keep this in mind, make firm determination and thorough preparations and set to the farm work, he earnestly stressed.

Then, through the landscape of golden fields, the official understood the General Secretary’s request that he should fulfill his responsibility and duty in increasing the agricultural output.

So, the official replied that he would do his best for farming well.

Through this story people would recollect the noble intention of General Secretary Kim Jong Un to make hurrah for socialism and hurrah of the Workers’ Party of Korea resound from the dinner table of every family.

Even now the General Secretary is devoting himself to the work for reaping bumper harvest.
