Touching Stories Tell His Devotion to People

Viewpoint on Service to People

The respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un gave a field guidance at a factory one July day in 2015.

The officials of the factory could not repress emotions looking up to the General Secretary entering the compound of the factory in the rain. Because they did not think that the General Secretary would visit their factory, a small one producing common consumer goods, in spite of his busy work leading the general advance to glorify the 70th Party founding anniversary.

Going around the factory the General Secretary stressed the need to make packing and trademarks perfectly, giving detailed instructions about the issues related to the production.

He said that the quality of the factory’s products was high and he was very pleased to hear that the people’s appreciation of the products was good.

That day he earnestly requested that they should lend their ears to what the people demand more.

It is, indeed, the precious teaching given by the great father who devotes everything to promoting our people’s wellbeing and bringing about civilized life.

Receiving his instructions, the officials deeply realized again the attitude to and viewpoint on the people as their servants and pledged to devote themselves to the work for the people’s welling being, keeping deep in mind the earnest request of the respected General Secretary.

Paying Attention to Height of Audiences’ Seats

One May day in 2013, the respected General Secretary visited the Songdowon Youth Open-Air Theatre associated with the leadership exploits of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il.

Saying that the Songdowon Youth Open-Air Theatre is associated with great love of the President and the Chairman for the people, the General Secretary requested that they should manage well the theatre and normalize its operation.

That day the General Secretary paid a special attention to the issue of arrangement of seats for the audiences.

He personally sat on a seat and said that the height of seats was too low.

The General Secretary measured the length between the step ground and seat by spans, asking if it was 20cm. An official replied that it was shorter than 20cm, and the General Secretary instructed that the height of the audience seat steps should be about 30cm and individual chairs were needless for the audiences of the open-air theatre.

The officials of the theatre saw the seats every day, but nobody paid attention to the height of the audiences’ seats.

Bearing in mind his teaching, the officials felt the benevolent parental love of the respected General Secretary who prioritizes the convenience of the people in all aspects of work.
