February Declaration Noteworthy in History

Chairman Kim Jong Il formulated the revolutionary ideas of President Kim Il Sung as Kimilsungism and declared the modeling of the whole society on Kimilsungism as the supreme programme of the Workers’ Party of Korea (WPK) at the 3rd Conference of Ideological Workers of the WPK on February 19,1974.

On the historic day, the Chairman said that to model of the whole society on Kimilsungism means advancing our revolution with the President’s great revolutionary ideas, Kimilsungism, as the unique guideline, and building and perfecting a communist society on the basis of Kimilsungism.

The proclamation of modeling of the whole society on Kimilsungism was a great event that gave a clear-cut answer to the issue related to the strategy and tactics for realizing the fighting programme of revolutionary Party in an independent age, serving as a new milestone ahead of our Party and revolution.

Under the banner of modeling of the whole society on Kimilsungism, an eye-opening reality in which people, society and nature are changed beyond recognition was created on this land and all the people grew up to be strong in idea and faith, a solid foundation of the self-supporting economy was laid and the self-reliant defence capability, which no formidable enemy dares attack, firmly consolidated.

The modeling of the whole society on Kimilsungism has been developed on a higher stage in the great Kim Jong Un’s era.

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un formulated the revolutionary ideas of the great leaders as Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism and declared the modeling of the whole society on Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism as the supreme programme of the WPK, thus clearly indicating the eternal strategy of our revolution.

Thanks to his extraordinary ideo-theoretical wisdom and outstanding leadership, Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism has been steadily developed and enriched with new principles and contents and the modeling of the whole society on Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism has been pushed forward, opening up the most glorious era in the 5 000-year-long history of the nation, the era of our state-first principle.

Today our people keenly feel again how great attraction and vitality the February declaration is displaying and harden their pledge to accomplish the revolutionary cause of Juche under the uplifted banner of Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism.
