Advanced Agricultural Sci-tech Products Developed

Research institutes under the Academy of Agricultural Science in the DPRK developed a soil improvement agent and a mixed herbicide.

The soil improvement agent was introduced into many farms across the country, including North Phyongan, South Hamgyong and Ryanggang provinces this year, contributing to improving the soil fertility of paddy and non-paddy fields and increasing the per-hectare grain yield.

The mixed herbicide was introduced into tens of thousands of hectares of land and is well appreciated by agricultural officials and workers. It helps kill aquatic weeds such as barnyard grass in the paddy fields.
