New Desulfurization Process Established

The Kim Chaek Iron and Steel Complex in the DPRK has made a signal achievement in the drive for putting the metal industry on a Juche basis.

After the establishment of a new Korean-style desulfurization process, the complex produced the first steel billet with very low sulfur content than before.

As a result, the foundation for the improvement of steel quality was laid and a new turning point was brought about in the development of the Juche-oriented metallurgical industry.
