Living Monument Isonnam Falls

Isonnam Falls is in the Chonthae Valley of Mt Myohyang.

People had called this falls Brothers Falls for a long time as the falls seems like harmonious brothers.

Chairman Kim Jong Il visited the Chonthae Valley in May Juche 70(1981) and said that the falls might be called Isonnam Falls.

Since then Brothers Falls have been called Isonnam Falls. (Isonnam means two good men)

The height of the falls is 22m and the widths of the falls are respectively 6-10m and 4-8m.

There is a 3m deep pool at the bottom of the falls.

Isonnam Falls is a precious living monument which adds beauty to the natural scenery surrounding it and it is used as rest place for the people.
