Anniversary of North Hamgyong Provincial Institute of Agricultural Science Marked

The North Hamgyong Provincial Institute of Agricultural Science in the DPRK marked its 60th founding anniversary.

President Kim Il Sung visited the institute several times to clearly indicate the road ahead of it, including the study of seeds and cultivation methods suited to the climatic and soil and weather conditions in the region.

Chairman Kim Jong Il led the institute to creditably perform its mission as a comprehensive base for agricultural science research helpful to boosting the agricultural production in the province.

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un put forward the agricultural front as an outpost in the struggle for defending socialism at the historic Eighth Congress of the Workers’ Party of Korea (WPK) and plenary meetings of the WPK Central Committee. He showed loving care and trust for scientists so that they have fulfilled their responsibilities and duties.

The institute has achieved research successes substantially conducive to the agricultural production for the past 60 years under the wise guidance of the peerlessly great men.

A meeting took place on March 4 to mark its 60th founding anniversary.

Present there were Kim Pong Gil, secretary of the North Hamgyong Provincial Committee of the WPK, Kim Yong Gil, vice-chairman of the provincial rural economy committee, officials, researchers and employees of the institute.
