Thousands of Hectares of Cold and Wet Lands Improved in South Hwanghae Province

Officials of the South Hwanghae Provincial Rural Economy Committee of the DPRK are pushing ahead with the improvement of cold and wet lands.

They are encouraging the masses to the efforts for the improvement of cold and wet lands, generalizing the experiences gained by the units which have increased per-hectare yield through effective improvement of cold and wet lands.

The improvement of cold and wet lands is being conducted in different parts of the province including the Yonbaek and Jaeryong plains.

Unchon County has completed its planned task and Jaeryong, Anak and Songhwa counties are pushing ahead with it at the final stage.

Other regions have set a goal to finish the improvement of cold and wet lands in the main before starting spring farming and directed efforts to it.

As a result, thousands of hectares of cold and wet lands have been improved in the province.
